Discover the unique flavour of Nidderdale through the seasons with our range of home-reared, grass-fed heritage meats.
Our native-breed Dalesbred sheep and natural maturing Belted Galloway and Hereford cattle are slowly reared to the highest welfare standards, until they reach natural maturity. They roam freely over our species rich grass pastures full of herbs, creating a deep, rich flavour, unique to Nidderdale.
We allow our livestock to rotationally graze, which lets the grass grow, whilst maintaining soil health. This limits the need for herbicides and maximises
the biodiversity. This method of regenerative farming protects the land for future generations.
A local abattoir and butcher process and package the meat, ensuring full traceability and minimum food miles. The beef is hung on the bone for at least four weeks, and lamb for seven days, to develop a wonderfully rounded depth of flavour and enhanced texture.
We offer a range of burgers, sausages and mince, as well as half or full lamb packages, with a number of new products planned in the future. Availability differs with the seasons, ensuring our meats are at their very best. All meats are sold frozen, unless ordered in advance.
