The Great Studfold Easter Egg and Fairy Hunt!
In the Easter holidays, from Saturday 4th April until Sunday 19th April 2020 we have our very special, and popular, annual Easter egg and fairy celebration event. The theme this year is 'springtime fairies and their friends'!
It’s a day the whole family can enjoy. Pick up a clue sheet, explore and discover, large willow nests, brightly coloured eggs, golden rabbits and the famous Studfold spring fairies and their countryside friends. The woodlands at Studfold are always magical but spring sees an extra level of enchantment!
Start counting the white rabbits on your way to Studfold from Pateley Bridge - there should be 4! From our carpark, follow the white rabbits all the way to Reception! How many can you see? Once on the Adventure Trail you can count the golden rabbits, learn what life is like as a fairy, make a wish and plant your fairy seedpaper in their wish garden. There’s so much to do, with extra Easter crafts available too at our craft area, like Easter badgemaking and making your own egg on a stick.
May – September
Studfold Fairy and Pixie Adventure
From Saturday 23rd May until Sunday 6th September 2020, there is magical mayhem at Studfold Adventure and Fairy Trail!
Due to popular demand, we have brought forward our lovely Fairy and Pixie Adventure event to May. Studfold Adventure Trail is a unique fairy experience throughout the year, but from Saturday 23rd May, lots and lots more tiny fairy houses magically appear, each with their own story.
We encourage children to dress up in their fairy, or adventure story costumes for this curious and enchanting event that is fun for the whole family. We have fairy wings and pixie hats to borrow from Reception, and badgemaking and fairy seedpaper to buy for 50p. Children can write their wish on the seedpaper and plant in the fairy wish garden on their way through the bewitching Village of Two Stone Wishes.
Plant a Sunflower!
On Saturday 2nd May 2020 you can plant a sunflower at Studfold Adventure Trail to celebrate Le Tour De Yorkshire! (Please arrive before 2.30pm for the Adventure Trail to ensure availability.)
Buttercups and Bluebells!
From mid May to June, is a spectacular time of the year to visit Studfold and our Adventure and Fairy Trail. Exact dates vary from year to year, but we’ll keep you up to date on our Facebook page and Twitter feed. The early carpet of bluebells becomes covered by a waving glow of buttercups and is a joy to behold!
There are so many challenging and delightful activities on the Trail for children of all ages and whole family to explore. You’ll have so many magical memories to take home with you!
The Bluebell Experience and Studfold Stones
On Saturday 23rd May 2020 come along to Studfold Adventure Trail and experience the fantastic sight of the bluebells in a magnificent carpet through the fairy woodland. Children can make their own bluebell badges for 60p, and paint a Studfold stone. Place your colourful stone on the Trail or at another visitor attraction and record its position on our Facebook page, where you can follow its interesting journey!
Please arrive before 2.30pm to enjoy the crafts.
On Sunday 21st June 2020 all dads and grandads can enjoy FREE entry to Studfold Adventure Trail when accompanying their children and/or grandchildren. Experience the Studfold Adventure Trail at one of the most beautiful times of the year!
There is so much to see and do, with the added bonus of the Fairy and Pixie Adventure event also running at this time on the Trail. Explore the amazing Nidderdale countryside and discover all the mysteries of the magical woodland folk – all at the same time. There are extra crafty goings on too with Father’s Day card making.
