Picnic Drop Offs at Studfold Adventure Trail

Families can enjoy plenty of space for picnics while children let off steam on the adventure play equipment, ride-on tractors, sandpits and interactive historic barn.

Children can climb, balance, slide and explore the adventure play equipment, designed to encourage active outdoor play and build confidence through fun challenges. Young farmers can hop aboard the popular ride-on tractors and enjoy imaginative play as they navigate their own countryside adventures. The spacious sandpits provide the perfect place for digging, building and creative play, keeping little ones entertained. Then, step inside the interactive historic barn to discover fascinating glimpses of rural life through the generations.

No need to carry your picnic around the trail – simply drop it at Reception on arrival and we’ll deliver it to the picnic and play area for you, free of charge. Drop-offs are made at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm. You are very welcome to bring all your own food or you can order a delicious picnic from the Nidderdale Way Cafe, served in a basket. BBQs are not permitted.

With beautiful views, sheltered spaces for all-weather fun and activities to keep children entertained, the Picnic and Play Area is the perfect place to pause, play and make lasting family memories.

We also have excellent baby change facilities at Studfold, as well as great eco loos.

Touring park visitors: Please note that this play park is only available with trail entry on the day of booking. The Adventure Trail is open from 10am to 5pm. To book, please click on the Book Trail button at the top of this page or enquire at reception.
