Events This Season

We are so sorry that our 2020 events season has had to be postponed until further notice due to COVID-19. Please stay safe and healthy with your families until which time we can reopen with confidence and welcome you warmly to Studfold.

We love to hold events at Studfold. We have seasonal, fun stuff going on for children and families throughout the season with our Adventure Trail events, and lots of jolly goings-on with entertainment, charity and community events at our touring and static caravan parks.

There are also many other fantastic local events and it is worth checking out Welcome to Yorkshire for fun and interesting happenings across the wider Yorkshire area. Download a PDF of our Events Calendar.

VE day 75th celebration ‘street’ party

Another fantastic VE day celebration is planned! This is our 75 years’ celebration street party for static caravanners, friends and family to take place down the middle of the static field or camping shelter. Bring your own table, chairs, drinks and barbeque to cook your food. Arrive from 6pm (TBC). There will be a ‘Jacob’s Join’ table for puddings, salads and cheese. There will be a prize for the best-dressed person and table! And Derek’s racing game too!!

Offers of help needed, and appreciated, to set up the bunting and music logistics.

Monday 6th July 2020
John O’Connor’s memorial golf competition

Play golf? Want a round? Speak to Ian Walker at Studfold to compete for Studfold Caravanners against Upper Nidderdale players. This is effectively the Nidderdale Ryder Cup! And, amazingly, we actually won last year! There is a cost to play, with all profits from the day going to Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Music Night at Studfold

Studfold barbeque and music evening

All welcome to our fantastic summer get-together. Bring your own food and drinks, and use the camping shelter facilities, where the barbeques and pizza oven will be lit at 6pm. Some members of Glen Folk will kindly be performing too!

Sunday 9th August 2020
Dave Challis 6-aside local cricket competition

Camping or caravanning at Studfold, you might be roped in to play! Studfold Statics will be represented - in what form, we’re not too sure yet! A great, fun day is planned with stalls, refreshments and barbeque food, all raising money for the local cricket club and in memory of David Challis - a well-known character of the Dale. Everyone welcome to watch. If you play cricket, we might need you to play… men and women!

Studfold Group Walk

Here’s a novel idea, a group walk, but three different ones with different distances and start times… all ending up at the Crown for a drink. Please register numbers and your chosen walk at Reception to give us an idea of numbers.

Studfold caravanner's annual coffee morning and duck race

Tombola, raffle, toy stall, white elephant, nail painting, cake stall, bacon butties, book and CD stall and the very popular.... sponging, plate smashing and welly wanging!! 1pm is the duck race from the Nidderdale Way Cafe. Enquire about the purchase of your fully-trained plastic duck from Reception!

Saturday 12th September 2020
North of England Smite Championships

For a small cost, everyone is welcome to have a go at this popular game!

Saturday 17th October 2020
End of season pie and peas, bonfire and fireworks!

Bonfire Night at Studfold

Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances, our 2020 Bonfire Event has been cancelled.

It’s our last night of fun! Come along from 2pm to decorate the sheep shed Halloween-style, and guy-building, followed by ‘penny for the guy’. Bring a pumpkin to carve. At 6.30pm the bonfire will be lit and fireworks will be about 7pm. (Please stand away from the fire and fireworks in the allocated areas.) The fireworks will have been bought by caravanners and visitors to Studfold. Donations for fireworks are very welcome. Order any pies, peas and hotdogs you’d like at the time of booking your stay for this weekend and pay on the night. Bring your own drinks.

We are delighted that Malcolm, Amanda and Gordon from Glen Folk (and Dennis) have kindly offer to play folk music for us. We know this is going to make it a great evening. What a great finale to another wonderful year at Studfold!
