Discover the unique flavour of Nidderdale
Discover the distinctive taste of Nidderdale throughout the year with our home-reared, grass-fed heritage meats, carefully produced in harmony with the seasons and the landscape they come from.
At Studfold Farm Produce, our livestock is slow-reared, with animal welfare at the heart of everything we do. Our native-breed Dalesbred sheep and Belted Galloway and Hereford cattle are raised to natural maturity, allowing them to thrive at their own pace.
Grazing freely across our species-rich pastures, full of native grasses and herbs, our animals produce meat with a deep, rich flavour unique to Nidderdale. We use a rotational grazing system, giving the land time to recover while maintaining healthy soils. This regenerative farming approach reduces the need for herbicides, boosts biodiversity, and helps protect our landscape for future generations.
All of our meat is processed by a local abattoir and butcher, ensuring full traceability and minimal food miles. To achieve the best possible flavour and texture, our beef is hung on the bone for a minimum of four weeks, while lamb is hung for seven days, allowing it to mature naturally.
We currently offer a selection of burgers, sausages and mince, as well as half or full lamb packages, with new products planned for the future. Availability varies throughout the year, reflecting the seasons and ensuring our meat is always at its very best. All products are sold frozen, unless ordered in advance.
To place an order, simply click to use our online order form or collect an order form from the Studfold shop and enjoy high-quality, responsibly produced meat with a true sense of place.
