Studfold Group Walk: 14th August 2021
Our annual walking event will be taking place on Saturday 14th August 2021, weather permitting. With three different options, we have a walk to suit everyone (including one that doesn’t include walking!).
All walks finish at The Crown, Middlesmoor. For walks 1 and 2, maps are provided and a walker in each group will be familiar with the route.
Walk 1: Dale Edge
9 – 10 miles
10am start from Studfold. All walkers will travel by car to the starting point at Lofthouse Moor Gate, and walk back to Middlesmoor. This is a hard walk in parts, but most beautiful. A full day’s walk.
Walk 2: Up to the Cliff and back to Middlesmoor
2.5 miles, option of 5.5 miles
11.30am start at Studfold. A good option for those wanting less distance without missing out on the beauty of Upper Nidderdale.
Walk 3: Studfold to Middlesmoor
Start time is up to you. Walk or you drive up to Middlesmoor to meet the walkers on their return for a pint.
All walkers must be responsible for their own safety, walking gear, waterproofs, sun cream, drinks and refreshments, blister plasters etc. The walker that knows the way is not a guide, just a friendly face! Dogs are your responsibility.
If you would like to take part, please sign up at reception or email info@studfoldtrails.co.uk ASAP.
The walks will be cancelled in extreme weather conditions. Please ask at reception if you require more details.
If you wish to eat at The Crown Middlesmoor, we recommend you book a table ASAP.
