The pitches are all 10m x 10 m. They are flat, well drained grass pitches. In the first field 22 of the pitches have access to an electric hook up. The remaining pitches do not have electric hook ups. There is a flat grass area that is set aside for the children to play ball games on and there is access down to the beck but young children need adult supervision here.
The Camping Shelter is a new addition to our facilities. Complete with a barbeque and pizza oven. It is an undercover lit area where you can gather to eat, drink and socialise when the weather is inclement. You need to inform reception of intended use and the shelter needs to be vacated by 10.30pm. A condition of use is that you ensure that it is left as you find it!
We make every effort to keep the toilet block clean and fresh. It has been carefully planned with a dry changing area for each shower, a private washing area, 2 baby change areas and disabled facilities. There is a covered washing up area and separate grey water and elsan disposal points. Cloths, washing up liquid and liquid soap are all provided. No tokens are needed as the facilities are including in the pitch fees.
There is a small shop that supplies basic daily needs, calor gas and camping gas, sweets & ice cream, small toys and gifts. Other provisions can be found in the local town of Pateley Bridge (14miles return journey) or for larger shops there are supermarkets in Ripon or Harrogate. Locally produced milk can be ordered by the pint for the following day and those wishing to keep up with 'the outside world' can order Sunday papers from reception.
One of the beauties of a short stay at Studfold is that there is plenty to do without driving anywhere. A few hours spent on Studfold's Adventure Nature Trail can be followed by an excellent meal at one of the two traditional Yorkshire pubs that are within walking distance or alternatively a visit to the café and a look around Yorkshire's 'Little Switzerland' otherwise known as How Stean Gorge.
There are numerous circular walks that leave and return to the camping park. These range from a couple of miles for the inexperienced and young or ten or eleven miles for the more serious walker. Studfold is situated on the Nidderdale Way and is an ideal base for those wishing to complete this spectacular walk.
Mobile phone reception (and TV- Satalite is fine) can be very poor on the park but a signal can be picked up a short walk away. We now have WIFI, vouchers to access this service can be purchased from reception.
A laundry area, with washer, deep sink and ironing board is avaialble in the touring field.
An industrial drier is available in the Static Park.
Dogs are welcome but need to be kept on a lead at all times and walked off the site.
Studfold's recycling bins accept mixed glass, papers and magazines, tins and cans.
